Dave’s Diary Part Deux

Posted by David Everett On March - 30 - 2009

A quick look at the new bike, with its fancy new Sram Red groupset and classic mavic hand built wheel training/ tough wheels.
A bit of a transition week, with getting bits ready to go away and cramming training.
Im ready and raring to go and getting ready isn’t the most exciting thing but I’m sticking to my promise and keeping you good folk up to date with the life of a want to be full time bike racer. So it’s the lull before the storm. I hope at lest!!
Oh, and the tour fans among us there’s a little treat for you too.

Go on press play!

First words from Team PBK Finland

Team ProBikeKit Finland

A warm welcome to PBK Finlands team blog. In this blog we will put you guys in the middle of our group and experience the whole season with us.

First of all we want to thank PBK for giving its support to this team. This will be our first full season with PBK and we are highly motivated to represent its colors during this upcoming season. We have a strong roster with very interesting athletes (more of them and the team in teams introduction). Not needing to say, our hopes are up and so are expectations.

There are only few weeks to season opener and yes; we still have snow. It is crazy. Us riders are going insane not to be able to ride on the road. Those 3-4 hour interval – or uphill rides on trainers are really killing us.

We will have teams first minicamp at Easter. Hopefully by then the snow has melted and the spring is on the way. At camp we will take team photos, hopefully test the new frames and try out new kits.

Whole camps report as well as photos in the next blog.

Until then: keep those legs moving and BBQ’s ready!

Cheers,

Ville Suominen, rider in PBK Finland

Daves Video Diary: Part One, Wax On/Wax Off

Posted by David Everett On March - 23 - 2009

The first of my video diaries. Now I’m telling you this video isn’t worth watching if you’re not into seeing a poor fella in pain. But I’m sure there isn’t that many of you out there like that. So if you do like seeing people in pain, well you’re in for a treat. As we all know when racing bikes you need that smooth leg look.  So for a change to the usual shaving I decided to go for a wax. On retrospect a bad idea! Oh, the things I do for my cycling and for the record, it’s not for aerodynamics, its for the ease of massage, cleaning after a crash…..and maybe a little bit of vanity.
